The 8th Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Task Force Meeting
The Eighth Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Task Force Meeting was held by Feng Chia University and National United University, on Feng Chia University camps, during 4 - 6 May, 2011. Total nine member institutions participated the event, including : Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Seoul National University (Korea), Tsinghua University (China), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), Xiamen University (China), City University of Hong Kong (China), National Quemoy University (Taiwan), National United University (Taiwan) and Feng Chia University (Taiwan).
The meeting was opened by Vice-President of Feng Chia University, Prof. Bing-Jean Lee, and Vice-President of National United University, Professor Hsi-Chin Hsin. Prof. Bing-Jean Lee also given souvenirs to the representatives. In addition, University Librarian K.-H. Huarng has given an achievement award to Prof. Xue, the former University Librarian of Tsinghua University, for his facilitating the development of the OAPS.
The representatives of member institutions were more than 30 people, including administration managers, professors and librarians. This year, University Librarians Huarng (Feng Chia University) and Lai (National United University) were in charge of hosting the annual report which focused on submission and selection, collection publishing, promotion activity and digital repository systems. During the meeting, members have discussed many issues and determined to continue the inter-institutional collaboration to facilitate the development of the OAPS project. The meeting was delightful and successful.
