This database contains nationwide theses and dissertations. Full-text is only available with the authorization of the author. Content coverage is available from 1955, while full-text is available from 1999.

In addition to the nationwide system, you can search theses and dissertations at different universities via the theses and dissertations systems of individual university libraries.

ProQuest Digital Dissertations and Theses - A&I

You can search bibliographies of dissertations and theses of American and Canadian universities. This database contains more than 2 million entries beginning from 1861. Dissertations published from 1980 include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Master's theses published from 1988 include 150-word abstracts. For those published after 1997, twenty-four page image formats ( PDF) are free for preview. More than 54,000 full-text items can be accessed via Digital Dissertation Consortium.

If the library does not possess the thesis or dissertation that you need, you can request the item through Interlibrary Loan or Nationwide Document Delivery Services.

Please be reminded that theses or dissertations may not be available for loan at some schools. Photocopies are restricted to one-third of the document unless the author has authorized full-text copy for academic use.
