  1. The library of our university (hereinafter referred to as "the Library") formulates these directives to effectively collect, develop, and manage various types of library resources to support teaching, research, and learning activities.
  2. The library collection primarily consists of academic resources, supplemented by general leisure resources, including books, journals, electronic resources, audio-visual materials, and non-book materials.
  3. The development of the library collection involves acquisition, recommendations, faculty overseas purchasing, donations, and exchanges. Specific guidelines for implementation are separately established.
  4. To provide library resources that meet the needs of curriculum teaching and departmental development, each academic year, a teacher is appointed by the department or institute to serve as the library consulting teacher. This individual assists in the recommendation process and provides consultation opinions.
  5. The Library may appoint subject librarians to assist in collecting distinctive library resources.
  6. In accordance with Feng Chia University's property management regulations and the implementation guidelines for industry-academia cooperation, the library is responsible for managing the university's entire collection of books, non-book materials, and museum assets. All types of library resources purchased with university funds, Ministry of Education subsidies, industry-academia cooperation funds, National Science and Technology Commission subsidies, and industry-academia cooperation project funds are managed and registered by the Library.
  7. To maintain the quality of the collection, the Library may conduct weeding operations based on actual conditions, with specific guidelines to be established separately.
  8. The directives were adopted at the Administrative Meeting and approved by the President before being promulgated and implemented. The same applies to amendments.
