Thesis/Dissertation Submission Details for the Second Semester of the 2016 Academic Year

  1. Master’s and PhD students who plan to graduate in the Second semester of the 2016 academic year should submit electronic and paper copies of their thesis/dissertation to the Library Reference Desk (extension 2683) no later than Monday,September 12, 2016. (Note: submission deadlines are announced by the Registration and Curriculum Section.)
  2. In accordance with the thesis/dissertation repository review procedures, after completing the thesis defense and all required amendments, graduating students must upload an electronic copy of the thesis/dissertation to the FCU Institutional Repository (the first phase of the review is then carried out by the library). After receiving a notification of acceptance, graduating students must then have the thesis/dissertation printed and bound (including the Letter of Authorization), and submitted to the Library Reference Desk (the second phase of the review is then carried out by the library).
  3. The library requires two working days to complete the first and second phases of the review procedures (paper copies of theses/ dissertations can be submitted on week days, exclusive of weekends). Please check your FCU email inbox for the notification of acceptance. If you have a reason to speed up the review procedures, please inform the clerk at the Library Reference Desk.

  5. On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in the Information Literacy Classroom on the second floor of the library, there will be an information seminar for submitting theses/dissertations. Students are welcome to register for the seminar online.
  6. During the holiday period (July 8 to 17, 2016), thesis/dissertation submission and review services will be suspended. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.
